€150,000 spent deporting asylum seeker to Ghana

MORE than €150,000 was spent deporting one man after the Department of Justice chartered an aircraft to transport a failed asylum seeker to Ghana.

The cost of €151,900 does not include the overtime or expenses paid to the gardaí who travelled with the deportee.
