Taxation report next on the cards

Soon after the public digests Mr McCarthy’s proposed spending cuts, the Commission on Taxation will produce its report on a reform of how money is collected. This is expected within weeks.

The Commission’s job is part of the long-term attempt to fill a €16 billion hole which was caused by our over-reliance on property sales and consumer habits to generate revenue.
