Cost of running average car down by almost 9%, survey finds

THE cost of running a 1.3 litre Ford Focus has fallen by 8.6% over the past 12 months, according to the AA

It now costs €11,156 to run the Tax Band C car, down by €1,049 in 2008 – and this is in spite of rising petrol prices.

For diesel car owners, the news is even better as diesel prices have fallen from record highs of 142.9 cent last year to 104 cent.
