AN Bord Snip Nua has been asked to review the medical negligence compensation scheme under which lawyers are paid 56 cent for every euro awarded.

The head of the State Claims Agency (SCA) has contacted the Government’s public expenditure review group asking it to study costs paid to lawyers in medical negligence cases under the Clinical Indemnity Scheme (CIS).
