FG leader demands Harney should be fired

MARY Harney should be fired from her job as Health Minister over her claims hospitals are deliberately targeting sick children’s care for cutbacks, Fine Gael yesterday demanded.

Party leader Enda Kenny insisted the Taoiseach must force Ms Harney to apologise for the comments or remove her from her post.

The row exploded after Ms Harney hit back at heavy opposition fire over cutbacks at Crumlin children’s hospital by implying that the medical staff there had deliberately sought to target sensitive areas of treatment for cuts.
