Fans still attracted to miming Spears’ circus

IRISH music fans were treated to miming, Mancunians and – for once – not too much mud on one of the country’s busiest concert weekends.

Some 20,000 eager fans flocked to the O2 Arena on Friday night to watch Britney Spears jump and gyrate to a cheering crowd which included her two well-guarded sons, obviously young enough to be oblivious to her risque outfits.

Spears’ decision to barely sing a live note during the show was not enough to stop thousands more flocking to the following night’s performance ensuring she walked away with a paypacket of just under €1m per show.
