More Tehran or tailors on his mind?

IT’S the phrase “genuinely cares about his appearance” that I find disconcerting.

Don’t know about you but I feel kind of uneasy about any assertion that the most important man in the world spends any real time dithering over the width of his tie or which particular set of platinum cufflinks best complement the gunmetal blue in his tailored shirt.

I’d rather Obama to be chewing on the intricacies of Iranian tribalism or Pashtun ethnicity than on the must-buys for winter 2009.
