Miriam to pull a double shift on RTÉ airwaves

FEARS of job cuts at cash-strapped RTÉ have some staff working day and night to prove they’re indispensable but few expected Miriam O’Callaghan to be leading the charge.

Miriam to pull a double shift on RTÉ airwaves

The station stalwart’s popularity knows no end but she’s taking no chances by putting herself on the airwaves twice every Saturday throughout the summer. Miriam will be presenting a new show, Miriam Meets ... , for an hour every Saturday morning on RTE Radio 1 and then will re-appear that evening on her Saturday Night with Miriam chat show on RTÉ 1 television.

The Saturday night slot is a return to the programme she has fronted during the Late Late Show’s summertime break every year since 2005 but the Saturday morning programme, beginning at 9.10am, is a new venture which takes over temporarily from Conversations with Eamon Dunphy while Dunphy is on holiday.
