Council gets green light for sewage treatment plant

CORK County Council has been given the green light to sign a contract with EPS Ltd for the design, construction and operation of a new sewage treatment plant in Kinsale.

The €5.8 million project contract will be signed next week after it was approved by Minister for the Environment John Gormley.

It represents the final phase of a €23m project to provide proper sewage treatment in the renowned tourist town.
