Second Irish case of swine flu

A SECOND Irish case of swine flu has been confirmed in tests on a woman who recently arrived from New York.

Yesterday, Dr Tony Holohan, chief medical officer, Department of Health and Children, said laboratory results had confirmed a second case of influenza type A (H1N1).

The woman, who has not been identified, has been confined to her home where she is receiving appropriate treatment.
