Bishop attacks euthanasia before talk

THE Bishop of Cork and Ross has condemned euthanasia ahead of a controversial lecture at Cork University Hospital today where a professor will claim it should be legalised.

Bishop John Buckley has spoken out strongly against legalising the practice after the Health Service Executive (HSE) confirmed the lecture by Professor Len Doyal will proceed Cork University Hospital.

Gardaí will adopt a discreet presence in the vicinity while private security at the hospital will be stepped up.
