Probe into customer’s death at store

The Health & Safety Authority (HSA) and gardaí are investigating the incident on Sunday afternoon. It is believed the 59-year-old man may have been hit by a falling item, possibly a pallet, but this could not be confirmed yesterday.

A HSA spokesperson said it was alerted by emergency services to a fatal accident at the store and its inspectors arrived shortly after. Details of the man’s identity or where he was from were not available last night.
