FG won’t say if new star is born

FINE GAEL has refused to deny reports that it will unveil a new logo at its ard fheis next week.

The party’s existing logo is a shooting star painted in green.

But the Maman Poulet blog (www.mamanpoulet.com) posted an image of a different logo yesterday of a star painted in the green, white and orange of the tricolour as well as Fine Gael’s traditional blue.

The party refused to say whether a new logo was forthcoming. Asked if he was denying that the image on the blog was the new Fine Gael logo, a party spokesman said: “No, we’re just not commenting on stuff that randomly appears on different blogs or threads on chat pages. If we have a new logo to release, we’ll give you plenty of advance notice.”
