Kerry hotel to be re-opened by former management team

FORMER senior management at the 300-bedroom Quality Hotel in Killarney, which closed two months ago after getting into financial difficulties, are to re-open the facility, it was announced yesterday.

Former general manager Patrick Dillon and financial controller Paul O’Shea have negotiated a deal with Hepton Developments, the owners of the property, to take over the franchise of the hotel on a long lease.

The facility will re-open on April 9. There will be 60 jobs initially and it is hoped to increase numbers employed to around 200 in the high season.
