Gardaí to check Real IRA phones and movements

GARDAÍ will check the movements and phone traffic of Real IRA members before and after the double murder of two unarmed British soldiers on Saturday.

Garda Commissioner Fachtna Murphy will receive a detailed briefing from security chiefs before he meets PSNI Chief Constable Hugh Orde.

The meeting is scheduled to take place at Garda Headquarters on Thursday, but may be brought forward to tomorrow.
