AN English poet has quit weekly readings held in a Limerick city pub after being asked to tone down her work which was deemed “excessively sexual”.

Emma Sharn, 30, took part in open nights at the White House pub on numerous occasions.

But, during a recent reading, the organiser of the poetry readings, Barney Sheehan, stepped in after he deemed her work too crude.
