Limerick to extend city boundaries

A SINGLE planning authority for Limerick city and county is being considered by Environment Minister John Gormley.

His department is completing a white paper on the overall administration of the two council areas and is due to be published next month.

The city council is seeking a further extension of its area following a boundary extension last year.
