A TOTAL of 93 dockers will lose their jobs after agreeing to redundancy packages as part of a rationalisation at the Port of Cork.

The dockers, who are members of SIPTU, voted yesterday to accept proposals to modernise work practices at the port.

Negotiations on rationalisation have been ongoing for a number of years.
