Irish brides say diamond design has more sparkle

THERE may be a lot of gloom and doom, but don’t forget there are still people in love and dreaming about diamonds ahead of St Valentine’s Day.

But in these more budget conscious times there is a bit of good news because it seems it’s not the size of the diamond or its price tag that matters to loved-up couples.

A survey by diamond makers, Seventy Seven Diamonds, shows that design is the most important factor for Irish brides, followed then by quality and sparkle. Up to 44% of those said style was their priority, while cost or size was not an issue for any of those questioned.
