I will run the Government as I see fit, blasts Taoiseach

AN angry Brian Cowen last night insisted “I will run the Government as I see fit” after the opposition accused him of indecision and dithering.

The Taoiseach was clearly stung by charges that he was failing to lead, during heated Dáil exchanges after the Oireachtas returned from its six-week Christmas break.

Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny accused Mr Cowen of “lacking the courage” to govern and turning Ireland into a joke.
