MINISTER for Children Barry Andrews has ordered that a full report on how the HSE dealt with the Roscommon incest case be provided to him within two days.

The HSE has come under severe criticism for being aware of the children’s “neglect” for eight years before taking them into care.

According to the HSE, a senior manager, from outside the Roscommon area, will carry out this preliminary review of the case. The review has already commenced.
