Faulty flues in homes to be inspected urgently

MORE than 50 houses in the suburbs of Limerick are to undergo an immediate inspection to ensure toxic fumes are not escaping from faulty flues, posing a risk to the occupants.

Limerick County Council, it has emerged, has carried out inspections at houses in Castletroy and Dooradoyle.

Findings showed some of the flues were leaking smoke.
