Rea: Trad music will see us through recession

ACCLAIMED Irish actor Stephen Rea believes Ireland’s traditional music scene will see the country through the recession.

The Hollywood star said trad was an essential part of Irish heritage that would entertain people through the economic downturn.

Launching Temple Bar’s Trad Festival, Rea described the style of music as Irish blues.
