Cowen refuses to confront Dell directly on its plans for Limerick
The Taoiseach rejected Fine Gael’s demand that he travel to Texas to plead for a rethink by Dell, as he insisted the Government was already doing all it could to influence the firm.
Asked if he thought a personal top level transatlantic intervention was on the cards, he said: “No, look we have put the business case to people, that’s what we do when people are conducting major re-organisations of companies,” he told RTÉ.
