ONE person has died and others are under serious threat as the HSE continues its investigation into an outbreak of botulism among heroin users in Dublin.

Four possible cases had been notified to the health authorities by the end of last month and over the past two days a further two suspected cases have been identified.

One of these patients died yesterday.
