Public given assurances over dioxin health threat

THE public have been assured by the state’s chief medical officer, Dr Tony Holohan, that there is no need to worry about the dioxin health scare.

He said the Government had taken a precautionary approach to minimise the risk to public health.

The public should simply destroy what pork products they have in their fridge and freezer.
