Hard-hit hotels go online for help

HARD-PRESSED hotels are looking to a Limerick-based marketing company to help fill empty rooms through new internet sites.

Avvio provide software and services to 85% of Ireland’s five-star hotels and commercial director David Collins said that the current economic climate has forced the Irish hotel industry to rethink its strategy and look for new solutions.

To help achieve this goal, Avvio has introduced two new hospitality websites, which offer hundreds of deals on hotel rooms across Ireland.

Hoteldeals.ie, developed by hotel consultant David O’Connor, features a range of offers and last minute deals.

Avvio has signed a contract with one of Ireland’s leading corporate hotel booking and venue companies, MustBook.ie, to power its hotel booking service for corporate clients.
