TD to seek meeting with justice minister

MATTIE MCGRATH is to seek a meeting with the Minister for Justice to discuss the prosecution case brought against him that ultimately collapsed yesterday evening.

A relieved Mr McGrath emerged from the courthouse in Clonmel to applause and cheers after his acquittal.

“I’m delighted to have fully vindicated my good name and the good names of my co-defendants,” the South Tipperary politician told reporters. “We have always maintained our total innocence.”
