Cowen’s all-black mood as menacing as the Haka

IT was all blacks and yet more red as Brian Cowen went down for the Dáil scrum, his much-vaunted bank bailout looking dangerously close to being kicked into touch.

Anxious to race to Limerick for the big match, the Taoiseach’s question time mood was as menacing as a New Zealand Haka.

He was engulfed in blackness, the banks were plunging into redness and the Dáil tensed for a fracas.
