Cork firm in net nomination

A DYNAMIC Cork-based technology marketing company has been short-listed for a national internet award.

Pixel Lab based in the city’s hi-tech Webworks complex on Eglinton Street is in the running for a Golden Spider — the country’s top internet and web awards.

Pixel Lab, which was formed in CIT’s Rubicon centre just over three years ago, has three young directors — David McAvinue, 30, Eoghan O’Sullivan and David Hanifin, both 27. They were nominated for a website commissioned by Quality Plastics Ltd, a designer and supplier of underfloor heating systems.

The site consists of a series of 3D animations which explain how underfloor heating works, as well as the design and installation processes and is short-listed in the best use of film, digital animation or motion graphics section.

Pixel Lab offers a full set of digital and web design services to help clients communicate their brands to a wider audience. The awards, now in their 12th year, are sponsored by eircom and will be held on November 20.
