BLARNEY Golf Resort and Spa, the 164-acre integrated tourism development near Tower in Co Cork, is up for sale for €20 million.

The four-star resort, which was officially opened by international golfer John Daly in 2005, has been beset by problems since its inception.

Its development company, Kelcar, comprised of Dublin-based developers, Frank and Derek McCarthy, was the subject of a High Court application by golf course architect Mel Flanagan of Irish Golf Design last year.
