Right Hook as FG called ‘losers’ by keynote speaker

THE Fine Gael parliamentary think-in was given unexpected food for thought yesterday when the keynote speaker branded the party a bunch of “losers”.

The peppery pep talk from broadcaster and former rugby coach George Hook pulled few punches and left leader Enda Kenny struggling to contain the damage.

After stating Fine Gael had saved the nation from “anarchy” after independence and taken a tough economic line in the 1980s, Mr Hook turned his attention to the current state of the Blueshirts.
