Developers ‘should do a Ryanair’

PROPERTY developers should “do a Ryanair” and drop their prices instead of being handed an emergency budget bail-out, Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny last night insisted.

The opposition leader went on the offensive over expectations that the Government plans to unveil a massive stimulus package for the flat-lining housing market as a centrepiece of next month’s early budget.

The Cabinet yesterday discussed financial aid schemes for first-time buyers; however, Mr Kenny warned the market should be allowed to find its own level.
