Champion surfer and green activist leads sea festival

IRELAND’S first ever female champion surfer will be one of the leaders of the upcoming Surf and Sea Festival in Tramore.

Grace O’Sullivan won the National Irish Surf Championships in 1981 at Rossnowlagh in Donegal and still surfs today.

However, her passion is ecology and, as well as chatting to the female surfers at the ladies surf weekend in Tramore, she will be leading an ‘eco walk’ she has expanded since it was developed by well-known botanist and entomologist Eanna Ní Lamhna.
