RESIDENTS in Dublin’s commuter belt spend a full week every year in their cars or on trains and buses commuting to work, a study has revealed.

People living in Louth, Wicklow, Kildare and Meath believe their journey time to work has increased by a third over the past five years — a rise in 80 hours per year.

The Labour party published research they commissioned on the quality of living in the commuter belt in response to massive population growths in towns and villages around Dublin over the past decade.
