BUSINESS leaders in the west have expressed concern that delays in finding an airline to operate flights between Knock and Dublin could have a serious impact on the local economy.

West fears impact over delay in Knock-Dublin flights

It is understood the Government is experiencing problems in finding an airline to take over the route after Cityjet recently announced that it could not proceed with services won under a tendering process.

No flights have operated between Knock and Dublin since July 21 last after CityJet announced that it would be unable to go ahead with its plans to operate a daily service between the two airports.
