Arena revamp boosts horse show
As the 135th show ended last evening, riders in the international classes praised the improvements that have been carried out to the surface of the main jumping arena, where a new drainage system coped well with periodic downpours during the week.
There was also praise for the RDS, from exhibitors, for innovations and changes in the content structure of the show classes, which are aimed at boosting the Irish sport horse industry which is worth an estimated €400 million to the economy. The RDS continues with a €100m upgrade of its entire 42 acre complex featuring two new office blocks.
