Many victims of flooding remain homeless
Housing welfare officials have moved to get temporary accommodation for those affected. Some are being put up in B&B accommodation, others have moved in with relatives and three elderly people who lived in the South Quay area have been placed in the local St Ita’s Hospital until their homes are habitable.
Widow Kathleen O’Donnell, aged 82, has been forced to move out and into St Ita’s Hospital.
