Man who bit off ear to ‘serve one year’

A CHEF whose ear was bitten off during a late-night attack in a Donegal chipper said yesterday his attacker is likely to be out of prison after a year.

Maurice McGeehan, 30, had to go through hours of painful surgery as doctors attempted to regrow his right ear after the violent incident which occurred on January 2 last year.

He still suffers from tinnitus (buzzing sounds), sleeping problems and remains disfigured where the ear was completely bitten off.
