PEOPLE in top tourist town Killarney can’t sleep because of noise from cars at all hours of the night, it has been claimed.

Boy and girl racers in “souped up” cars have been, attracted to Kerry for years, with their antics resulting in calls for a crackdown from sleepless, angry locals.

However, there’s noise now most weekends, according to Independent Killarney Councillor Donal Grady. Highlighting the issue at a town council meeting, he proposed a bylaw be introduced preventing loud noises from cars after 11pm so that “excess noise level can be brought down to legal noise level”.
