Attack likely to be drug related

GARDAÍ believe the abduction and beating of a 30-year-old man in Cork city yesterday morning may be drug related.

Detectives working on the case think that at least four men were involved in the abduction and subsequent attack on the man, who is originally from the east Cork area.

Garda sources indicated the victim, who moved into Cork city a few years ago, is well known to them.
