LABOUR and Sinn Féin clashed yesterday over the Lisbon treaty’s perceived benefits for Irish workers.

Labour leader Eamon Gilmore accused Sinn Féin of “seriously misleading” voters about the contents of the treaty.

Mr Gilmore, whose party is traditionally associated with the trade union vote, said there were several good reasons why Irish workers should vote yes in the June 12 referendum.
