British retailers will be asked to explain to the Government why customers are not benefiting from the narrowing exchange rate between sterling and euro.

Tánaiste and Enterprise Minister, Mary Coughlan, informed her cabinet colleagues that she is seeking a meeting with Retail Ireland which represents most department and chain stores.

The group as well as senior executives from the business group, IBEC, will hold talks with the National Consumer Agency.
