Local man, 20, killed in crash on Cahir-Clonmel road

GARDAÍ in Cahir are appealing for information on a road crash that claimed the life of a 20-year-old local man late on Wednesday night.

The victim was named locally as Daniel Purtill, who lived at Woodview in Cahir and worked in a garage business in Bansha.

It is believed he was returning home from visiting his uncle in Mooncoin, Co Kilkenny, when the crash happened at about 11.35pm on Wednesday.
