A PLANNING application has been lodged with Limerick County Council for an underground shooting range.

Many residents in the Dromin/Athlacca area are outraged at the possibility of a gun range being set up by a local land owner.

A spokesman for the council confirmed the application was with them and a decision on the application for the gun range is due on May 21.
