GARDAÍ have appealed for help in tracking sword-wielding thieves who terrorised shop staff in Cork over the weekend.

Two masked men wielding swords walked in to Herlihy’s Centra shop on the Curraheen Road in the Cork suburb of Bishopstown at about 10.30pm on Saturday night.

They forced staff members to open a safe and they emptied the contents. They also emptying cash from the tills.
