TAOISEACH Bertie Ahern was told yesterday he should not be pointing the finger at farmers for expressing their concerns over the Lisbon treaty.

A furious IFA leader Padraig Walshe said the government must face up to reality.

“It is unrealistic for the Government to demand that farmers vote yes in the certain knowledge that the European Commission is planning to sell them out to Brazil and multinational traders in order to get a world trade deal at any price,” he said.
