WATERFORD Airport has announced a 51% increase in the number of passengers travelling through the regional hub.

Passenger numbers up 51% at Waterford Airport

In the first quarter of 2008, 25,968 people went through the southeast airport, up from 17,238 passengers in the same period of 2007.

The popularity of Waterford airport’s flights to London Luton and Manchester has increased, with an extra 16% flying to London, and 51% to Manchester, compared with the first quarter of 2007.
