Death of newborn not suspicious

It is understood that the baby’s mother, a 28-year-old from the area, gave birth in her rented apartment in the city centre, but the baby boy was born prematurely, stillborn.

However, it is believed the mother did not report the matter for two days, at which time she went to Waterford Regional Hospital.
