HEAVY goods vehicles are being warned not to travel through one of Kerry’s most scenic mountain passes following incidents involving trucks on a narrow, twisting road.

In the latest of five incidents the Conor Pass — between Dingle and Cloghane — a truck got wedged under a hanging cliff on the narrowest part of the road.

The operation to remove the jammed container took several hours, involving a team of Kerry County Council staff and two cranes.
